Common, hailing from Chicago, has taken aim at one of the hottest rappers (pause) in the game, Drake. How did this beef start? Let's start from the beginning....

As we see here, Common seems to have an issue with rappers that sing on records. This narrows down the list of rappers Common could be talking about....

The shawty Drake is referring to is Serena Williams, Common's ex and who has been seen around with Drake. She's the only connection Drake and Common have to each other. Drake never mentions Common's name but it is quite obvious that Drake's lines were aimed at him.

Common holds nothing back. He calls out Drake by name. Disrespects the man to the point where Drake NEEDS to respond. Will he? Will he turn down a battle with a lyricist of the caliber of Common? Will Drake simply ignore him and continue to make his music? Personally, I want Drake to respond. I want to see a battle. Doesn't Drake claim he loves music? Doesn't he claim he loves Hip-Hop? Battling is an aspect of the culture. Look at the history of Hip-Hop. Nas vs. Jay-Z. Canibus vs. LL Cool J. Ice Cube vs. NWA. T.I. vs. Ludacris. 2Pac vs. The Notorious B.I.G. Drake needs to realize he is no untouchable. Common stepped up to you, and it's your duty to respond. Who cares if you won't profit from the "beef"? You just simply can't back down...
